Prophet Musaموسى
From the river to the burning bush to the parting of the sea — Musa walks with Allah.

“Then We inspired to Musa, 'Strike with your staff the sea,' and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.”
The story of Prophet Musa
Prophet Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, was born at a time when a tyrant, Pharaoh, ruled Egypt and feared the children of Israel. To save his life, Musa’s mother placed him as a baby in a basket on the river Nile — and by Allah’s plan, he was raised inside Pharaoh’s own palace.
As a grown man, Musa left Egypt and spent quiet years in Madyan before Allah called him at a burning bush on Mount Tur, giving him his mission. He returned to stand before Pharaoh and call him to the truth. When Pharaoh’s army chased Musa and his people to the edge of the sea, Allah parted the water into a dry path so they could cross to safety.
Musa’s story is one of the most often told in the Qur’an — a story of courage before a powerful ruler, of standing up for what is right, and of relying on Allah when there seems to be no way out.
