Prophet Nuhنوح
A patient prophet who built a great wooden ark on dry land — and was lifted to safety by Allah.

“And Nuh called to his son who was apart [from them], 'O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers.'”
The story of Prophet Nuh
Prophet Nuh (Noah), peace be upon him, was sent to call his people back to the worship of the one God after they had turned to idols. He called them patiently, night and day, for many long years — the Qur’an mentions he was among them for nine hundred and fifty years — yet only a few chose to believe.
By Allah’s command, Nuh built a great ark on dry land, while his people mocked him. When the flood finally came, he carried the believers and pairs of every kind of animal to safety. Even his own son refused to come aboard and was lost — a reminder that guidance is a choice each person must make. At last the ark came to rest on Mount Judi, and Allah granted peace.
Nuh’s story teaches patience and perseverance: doing what is right steadily, year after year, and leaving the results in the hands of Allah.
