Prophet Yusufيوسف
The full story of Prophet Yusuf — the dream, the well, and the long road home.

“When Yusuf said to his father, 'O my father, indeed I have seen eleven stars and the sun and the moon — I saw them prostrating to me.'”
The story of Prophet Yusuf
The story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, is the one Allah Himself calls “the most beautiful of stories” (Surah Yusuf 12:3). It begins with a boy who dreams that eleven stars, the sun, and the moon bow before him — a sign of the honour Allah had planned for him long before he could understand it.
Out of jealousy, Yusuf’s own brothers leave him at the bottom of a well, and he is carried as a stranger into Egypt. Through years of hardship — a life in a great house, false accusation, and a long stretch in prison — Yusuf never lets go of his trust in Allah or his honesty. When he interprets the king’s dream and saves Egypt from famine, he rises from a forgotten prisoner to a trusted minister.
The story ends not with revenge but with mercy: when his brothers stand before him, not recognising him, Yusuf forgives them completely. It is a story about patience that outlasts betrayal, and about how Allah’s plan unfolds in ways we cannot see at the time.
